Our Most Frequently Asked Question....
What does J.A.K. Travel stand for?
The answer to this is simple... it is the initials of Alan, his middle initial J, for Jeffrey and Kath - just re-arranged.
Why are there so few single rooms?
When we make a booking with a hotel, we have to work with the types of rooms that they have and in the majority of cases, they do not have many single bedded rooms.
Why do I have to pay a single room supplement?
Hotels price their accommodation according to the cost of servicing it and as a proportion of their overall overheads. A room with two beds in it, or accommodating two or more people does not cost significantly more to service than one with one and it is often not much bigger, so the price per room is often not much different. However, when this is divided per person, the single room works out to cost more and this is why there is often a supplement.
Why do you not offer more pick up points?
It is difficult; we would love to offer more and closer pick ups for everyone but at the same time we have always prided ourselves on the fact that we do not use feeder coaches and that you do not have to spend a lot of time ‘running around’ in the local area before you are on your way to your destination. The more stops we have, the slower this process is for everyone!
We do offer free onsite car parking to make life easier for those living away from the direct route and we hope you understand.
